Adding "Junk" in the Trunk!

I am new here. I am wondering if it would be a good strategy to add
a roll of junk half dollars to my monthly buy pile.

My coin shop has a junk silver bag and I noticed that they had enough half dollars to do it.

I think that I would prefer half dollars to other coinage just for aesthetics.

This is the way to do it.

They are selling at a 12X premium which is a lot but I get to cherry pick and I think that this might be ok if I can do it this way.

They also have rolls of mercury dimes but they want a premium more for those.

The weather is starting to warm up so I probably will start my slow creep on buying more.

Just wondering, what is the best way to add junk silver to one's acquistions?

Sincerely,

Thomas

seems like the going price, I was told 12.5 this weekend and 10 or < to buy/bid.

..."I think that I would prefer half dollars to other coinage just for aesthetics."

Rather then "aesthetics" or anything else, most folks strongly believe that it's important to diversify.

IMO you need to consider holding 90% halves, quarters, and dimes...and with these more dimes then halves, and more halves then quarters.

And re 12 x face...shop around. There are 10.5 x and 11 x trades out there. Get the most silver for traded FRN and be careful not to pay too much for badly worn coins.
